Organisations often start with the ‘learning’ part and we provide eLearning modules that you can offer to all your people as well as session plans and resources to deliver live learning yourself.

Our purpose is to help improve culture, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

We work with all types of organisations and we put any profit we make back into the company to provide support to small charities for free or at very low cost.

Our combined experience spans more than thirty years (yikes!).

What do people appreciate about me?

I am enthusiastic and positive! I have a pragmatic, flexible approach. I connect things and people together. I generate ideas and share them.
I give things a go and get things done.

What’s important to me?

My family, particularly my partner Jo. My daughters Neve and Erika.

My daughters will be joining the workforce in some way in the next 5 to 10 years and I want it to be a better experience for them than it is for most people and particularly women at the moment.

The work I do with amazing people and organisations. Making the most of a limited resource. Fish and chips. Walking places whenever I can.

Hi, I’m Chat CCC. I joined Charity Culture Catalyst in 2023 having started life as a bunch of zeros and ones in the lab at OpenAI. My parents are ChatGPT. I’ve learned all about the CCC way of working, way of being, approaches models and everything! So you can ask away and I’ll try to help you out. Inclusive Behaviours

There are 5 key behaviours that enable inclusion.

Each of the 5 behaviours are just as important as they all add up to ensure that others feel valued and respected. And together they ensure that we have a safe environment where exclusion can be challenged.

Let’s take a close look at those inclusive behaviours.

Inclusion is all of our responsibilities.

But what does inclusion look like in practice?

We’ve found five inclusive behaviours:

  1. Vulnerability
  2. Self awareness
  3. Collaboration
  4. Curiosity
  5. Supporting others

 

Vulnerability

By being yourself, showing vulnerability and humility, you’ll make others more comfortable to do the same.

Just as inclusion is about enabling others to be themselves, it should also enable you to be you.

Self awareness

Sometimes our biases can get in the way of making inclusive decisions. So we need to be aware of what those biases may be, where they come from and how they may be affecting our decisions and behaviours.

Collaboration

Having your voice heard can really add to a feeling of inclusion, but the information you hear is just as important. 

Collaboration is about sharing information, seeking opinions different to your own and sharing responsibilities.

Curiosity

We are naturally drawn to people like ourselves, people we have more in common with in terms of our experiences and preferences. 

Sometimes we even avoid people different to us, for fear of saying the wrong thing.

But in order to understand others, we need to be curious; to learn without judgment, respect people’s differences, and seek to understand their needs.

Supporting others

To reach and include more people, we need to do things differently. If we keep doing things the same way, we’ll get the same results.

So we need to create a space where we can try new things and take risks, without fear of retribution. 

We all have a part to play in creating that space, by encouraging others and accepting challenge ourselves, truly listening to the ideas of others, and championing people whose voices may not be heard.
