Have you noticed that, when AI gives an answer, people often treat it as the “final word”? There’s something about getting a response from an ‘objective’ source that feels like the ultimate authority. In fact, in one organisation, people would almost lean forward and say, “Well, AI says this!” And with AI’s vast, data-driven ‘brain,’ it’s tempting to feel it might just have all the answers.
But as impressive as it is, AI should be just one part of the conversation, not the whole answer. Think of it as that brilliant (and very punctual) team member who’s always there with the right facts, but maybe not the emotional nuance or context. AI’s voice deserves respect, but it doesn’t mean we can skip out on critical thinking. So, when your AI team member weighs in, don’t forget to add the all-important “human filter”—it’s a team effort!
